We've been keeping up with all the latest dining room colour trends so you don't have to! Are we seeing a shift away from the super popular white and grey palettes? Read on to find out.
For a lot of us, the space where we eat often becomes the heart of the home, which means we like it to reflect our tastes and style, as well as current style trends. Our dining rooms can become an ever-evolving space and that's awesome! What better way to keep your home feeling vibrant and alive? In recent years, we've seen chic and sleek white and grey dining rooms dominating the dining room colour trends, but recently, we've noticed a bit of a shift. Colour is making a comeback! Let's break down what we're seeing popping up in showrooms and in our customer's homes as we lean hard into the spring cleaning and freshen up season of 2022.
Grey is still very much in! So don't panic! It's such a great base, as it can look fresh and clean while being a little more practical than pure white.
Here, you can see one of our most popular dining table sets - the Imperia grey high-gloss table with 4 grey velvet Belgravia chairs - in a gorgeous grey room set up that adds depth with various shades of the colour.
This is a gorgeously simple and elegant grey dining area featuring our Lorenzo grey faux leather dining chairs and a white gloss table that's very like our Atlanta table.
Achieve a stylish grey dining room with a glass dining table and silver chrome! Here, the walls and tiled flooring, along with the grey velvet dining chairs, bring the grey, but the table keeps things light and bright. That's our Novara round glass dining table with nested starburst chrome legs and 4 Pesaro grey velvet dining chairs.
But we are starting to see some other colours creeping into solid grey palettes that bring some warmth. Grey and gold is a luxurious combination.
Here's our Leonardo glass rectangular dining table with gold metal legs. The 4 Corona grey leather chairs have matching gold legs. All set in a stylish stormy grey and white room.
Super-sleek white and grey units work beautifully with our Novara round glass dining table with gold legs here. The grey velvet chairs with gold legs (similar to our Pesaros) add a different texture and keep it glam.
Grey and gold with cream and wood accents is a lovely way to blend modern and rustic. Here, our grey faux leather Corona chairs with gold legs add a pop of elegant grey chic to this farmhouse-inspired room.
Adding pink to a grey palette will soften it and add warmth. Dusky pinks and greys go really nicely together.
Our Pivero white high-gloss pillar dining table with 4 grey velvet Belgravia chairs was set up in this dark grey and white room, but the pink accessories lift and soften the look.
The touches of pink and blush in the wallpaper here against the grey is a gorgeous way to add some warmth. That's our white high gloss and chrome Atlanta table there, with Corona faux-leather chairs in cappuccino, which actually take on a blush tone against the wallpaper.
This example shows you how silver chrome metal can bounce around accent colours. Our Novara 100cm round glass dining table with silver chrome nested legs reflect the pink from the rug beneath.
Cappuccino / beige is a gorgeous warmer take on the neutral trend. It gives a lovely modern Scandi style.
Our Santorini brown round wood-effect Scandi dining table goes nicely with our Corona faux leather dining chairs in Cappuccino with black legs.
This open plan kitchen-dining area feels fresh but warm and welcoming with a white and cappuccino palette. Our Imperia white high-gloss dining table with 4 cappuccino Lorenzo chairs looks great here.
Our Cascina round glass dining table with black legs looks stunning with the black leg Corona chairs with black legs. We no longer stock this table, but try the Novara round glass table with the same chairs for a similar look. This is a really stunning soft Scandi look using beiges and blacks against white.
OK, this trend is popping up everywhere at the moment - bringing a touch of the natural world indoors with green tones and making them warm and luxurious with gold accents.
Our wood-effect Taranto trestle style table with gold geometric legs looks so nice with the Pesaro green velvet dining chairs with their matching gold legs.
Here, the green and gold with the warm dark wood flooring and black accents looks quite Industrial / Scandi and that dark forest sage green accent wall at the far end really brings this all together. Our Pesaro green and gold dining chairs, here.
In this example, the green and gold palette gets a bit of a 1920s Art Deco Gatsby glam vibe and we love it! That's our Leonardo rectangular glass dining table with gold nested legs.
Get dramatic and luxurious with a black and gold combo in your dining room!
Pops of gold in your chairs and accessories can lift an otherwise flat palette of black to decadent levels. Here's our Palma black round table with tapered plinth leg and 4 black faux leather chairs with gold legs.
Black and gold with a paler wall and floor, coupled with glass accents, will keep things bright and airy. We love how our Novara 100cm round glass dining table with nested gold legs has been styled here!
Black and gold with white is a really classy combination! Everything here feels decadent and sumptuous without feeling overbearing. That's our white Imperia table with 4 black Corona chairs with gold legs. Our Cambridge bench is similar, too.
Another glam combination that's a little softer than black. Nautical navy goes really well with gold and we're seeing this more frequently in dining areas.
Our Leonardo glass and gold metal table and the Pesaro blue velvet chairs with matching gold legs looks gorgeous in this navy and white room.
Another example of how gold and navy can look really classy together! That's our Leonardo glass and gold metal table in a real customer's home.
Another customer pic of the popular Leonardo glass and gold metal table and the Pesaro blue velvet chairs with gold legs. We think it looks amazing with that stunning folding screen in the background!
