Measure the height from floor to any overhead cover (pergola, parasol, or roof if you're putting it on your balcony) and leave at least 30cm of clearance above the top of the chair. Don’t forget to account for swing clearance.
Stationary egg chairs sit directly on the ground and don’t move, like a garden sofa. They won’t swing or rock, so tend to feel more stable on uneven surfaces like grass or gravel.
