Q&A with @red_roses_home! Getting Ready For Christmas

It's no secret that we love seeing how our customers style our products. When the very fabulous Paula over @red_roses_homes, who's collaborating with us, styled one of our extending Arezzo tables so beautifully ready for Christmas, we just had to share it with you. We also managed to catch up with Paula for a bit of a natter as she gets ready to host Christmas.

Juggling Everything

Furniturebox: So, what are your top tips and tricks for preparing and managing a family Christmas dinner?

@red_roses_home: Delegate to husband ? My lovely Steven takes over on Christmas Day so I can relax and enjoy being the hostess with the most-ess. He says preparation and timings are key.  

Furniturebox: Haha! We love some good delegation! You have a beautiful home, how do you prepare it for Christmas visitors?

@red_roses_home: I am admittedly a bit of a neat freak but at Christmas, this goes out the window. My door is always open and the more the merrier. I am looking forward to some normality this year and hopefully having all our friends and family over to enjoy the festivities.

Decking Out The Table

Furniturebox: You chose our Arezzo extending table for your dining room, are you planning a big Christmas this year?

@red_roses_home: Yes! We are hosting for our family and cannot wait to have everyone around the table together ❤ the Arezzo is perfect for this as it is so spacious and has lots of surface space for lots of sharing platters!

Furniturebox: Tell us your best Christmas tablescape hacks; how can our customers make their dining tables look as gorgeous as yours?

@red_roses_home: Honestly for me, it's who is around the table that matters. Good food, company and lots of laughs! This year I have incorporated lots of red into my table setting and I think it really pops against the beautiful white table. I love red at Christmas and it adds a traditional touch!

Furniturebox: Does the whole family get involved in decorating the table for Christmas?

@red_roses_home: Well my daughter starts off with good intentions but soon gets bored and I often find myself doing it alone but I do not mind. I actually really enjoy setting the table for Christmas Dinner, I usually have the tunes on and a glass in hand!

Tablescapes and Centrepieces

Furniturebox: What would you say is the most important feature/decoration to make a table look festive?

@red_roses_home: I always like a centrepiece with a nod to my theme so for example this year I have mini Christmas trees and a wine cooler filled with Christmas baubles in my colour theme. I do change this each year but love festive touches!

Furniturebox: When do you lay your table ready for the big day? How many trial runs have you made so far?

@red_roses_home: So far I have had 2 trial runs to make sure I have everything perfect for the big day. I do a mini-setting in the morning for breakfast and then usually reset the table after breakfast in preparation for our guests arriving for Christmas lunch.

Making Things Easy

Furniturebox: The Arezzo is part of our extending table range, have you found it easy to assemble and easy to extend?

@red_roses_home: Yes! It is so easy to extend out and literally takes 30 seconds and can be done single-handedly, I love it!

Furniturebox: And lastly, what's your favourite bit of the Christmas season?

@red_roses_home: The magic my daughter sees in everything and getting to spend time with my nearest and dearest ❤.
